The City of Chandler rocks the town red, white and blue Wednesday, 4 with the return of its annual July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at Tumbleweed Park. The party in the park reigns across Tumbleweed from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. with a high energy celebration, all leading up to Chandler’s largest sky-illuminating fireworks display kicking off at 9 p.m. Admission into the park is free and on-site parking is available for $5 per vehicle. The Phoenix Film Festival has announced the family friendly, Kids’ Day
to take place on Saturday, April 7 th from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Kids’ Day is presented by IFP/Phoenix and
Bookmans and is a great way for kids of all ages to come out and experience the festival. Guests can
select from a series of hands-on activity stations focusing on different aspects of film production and
geared to various age and ability levels. Stations are age-appropriate and run the full gamut of the
filmmaking process. And best yet, it’s FREE! Some of the fun activities include:

See the magic of getting transported to amazing places via a Green Screen
Learn tips and tricks on filming with a smart phone
Coloring reproductions of the Phoenix Film Festival poster

Little Ones and Families Enjoy the Art of Surprise and a Sweet Activity to Share
In preparation for the Easter bunny’s big day on April 1, The Art of Ice Cream Experience is holding a festive, Instagrammable Easter egg hunt for youngsters and their families. Children will be provided with baskets for gathering up prize filled eggs and all will enjoy ice cream goodies throughout the exhibit.
The Easter Egg Hunt offers the perfect opportunity for first time visitors to explore and play inside the highly interactive ice cream themed spaces, and those returning to share and capture a new experience with their families.

Sherlock Gnomes is coming to town on Sunday, March 11 for a free family event at Desert Ridge Marketplace.
The event will be hosted and story will be read by Arizona Midday’s Destry Jetton. There will be a character photo opportunity with Sherlock from the new Paramount Pictures’ animated film, SHERLOCK GNOMES. The event will also feature a coloring station, light refreshments and giveaways. This is a free family event.
