This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. As a long time fan of the X-Men franchise, I loved hearing more about Jean Grey’s background. She’s one of my absolute favorite characters and I always wondered what it was that led her to sacrifice everything.
Fair warning: I love X-Men, so this might be much more fan-girl information than necessary. I found the timeline absolutely impossible to understand. Is this a prequel? Is this a standalone? If you are able to put away your concerns about the timeline and just sit back and enjoy Jean’s story, you will love the movie! Her relationship with Raven and her sacrifice for the world was always something I wanted to know more about and this movie certainly highlights that.
If you need a good date night movie with plenty of action, this would be perfect!
