DIY picture frames to match any decor!

If you are looking to change up some colors and decor in your house and you want to do it without spending a ton, I have a great step by step guide on how you can change the look of simple picture frames that will stand out in any room.

DIY picture frames

I bought plain white picture frames a few years ago (from Michael’s) and I covered the frames in different colored paper to look current and stylish.

Supplies needed: picture frames to re-cover, scrap booking paper in preferred color, pattern or style you love, spray adhesive, modge podge, paper cutter, and foam brush.

Cut the paper to be slightly larger than the front of the frame. You want to be able to fold the paper over the edge of the frame. Once the paper is cut to size, it is easier to pre-fold the paper and then use the spray adhesive on the paper to attach the paper to the frame.

Work quickly, the spray adhesive dries fast, but it gives the paper a smooth finish and won’t dry bumpy!

After the paper is wrapped and dry, modge podge the paper and let dry again. If you change your mind next year, it is easy and inexpensive to change it all up.

Happy Crafting!
