New Nursing Needs {From AZ Local Businesses}

nursing needsAt a baby shower recently my girlfriends and I were reminiscing about …well everything, but one hot topic was breastfeeding.

I LIVED in my nursing tanks, I didn’t have many other options that fit well or that I felt good in. Valley mom Melanie Herschorn felt the same way and came up with a solution by starting her own brand- Udderly Hot Mama Nursing and Pumping Wear.

   The idea is basically to make it easier for all us mamas to breastfeed in public, and look cute doing it. The soft stretchy design lets new moms pull down from the top to breast feed or pump (keeping that belly covered.) Also, no need to mess around with hooks or clasps. Best part- none of the styles look like nursing “wear” so once you are done breastfeeding, just remove the insert and you have an “everyday” top or dress. Check out the Udderly Hot Mama infinity nursing scarf too!

At a time none of us are feeling “sexy,” the brand Oh La Lari comes to the rescue. Developed by a Scottsdale mom these feminine lacey bralettes help bring the sexy back. Each bra is wireless, adjustable and can switch from traditional to racer back. The cups are lined with removable pads in case of leakage. This certainly isn’t your basic nursing bra.

Lactation problems? Look no farther than Oat Mama… started by a couple of Tucson mamas, of course. One of my girlfriends swears the tea is what helped make her produce more milk. The brand is known for its granola bars, which are gluten, dairy, soy and egg free. Bars aren’t your thing? They also sell granola in the bag. Check out the cute gift box, the perfect present for that new mama (it comes with an adorable tee shirt too.)
