5 Fun Fall Events in October

1

We did it! We survived summer! Arizona Moms need to unite with one big toast to celebrate this accomplishment and now it’s time for the fun to begin! I love October because it’s the start of festival season. Every weekend seems to offer something fun to do with the family and the weather is cooling off which allows us to actually enjoy being outdoors. There are so many opportunities for entertainment in October, but I’ve compiled my top five to share with you! Happy Fall!

5 Fun Fall Things to Do In October

Visit a Pumpkin Patch! so many pumpkin patches, so little time! But the photo ops are make it worth it. My three favorite pumpkin patches are:

Take the family to a festival! Salt River Fields hosts a variety of fun events coming up, including two of my favorites: The Arizona Taco Festival (Oct 14 & 15)  & The Salt River’s Spooktacular Festival (Oct 27 & 28). Both are fun for both parents and kids alike!

Family Fun for Free! The Highlands Church Fall Festival (Oct 28) is filled with fun for the kids and it’s free which us parents love too. Enjoy bounce houses, candy, costumed characters, music and food.

Calling all conductors! The McCormick Stillman Train Park is hosting their annual Railfair (Oct 7-8), which will include all things trains. This is perfect for the kids who love trains.

Take a day trip to Annie’s – If you’re up for a drive, Apple Annie’s Orchard in Wilcox gives guests a perfect day of fall fun with their annual Fall Pumpkin Celebration complete with a corn maze, pumpkin picking and plenty of local food and product to enjoy. The celebration runs every weekend in October.
