Shop Local: New Mom & Baby Gear

1

There are literally HUNDREDS of items you can add to a baby registry. Just walk into any store and you can see there is no shortage of choices for everything from clothes to toys. If you are expecting (or know someone who is) I want to encourage you to skip the big box stores for awhile and order what you need from these Phoenix local businesses. I have bought or been gifted something from all of the shops listed and they are truly some of my favorite finds for myself as a mom and, of course, plenty for the new baby.

NOXX matching beanie & swaddle blanket: Keep baby wrapped up and warm with this adorable set. I love the neutral stripes, but they come in other patterns as well. The material is soft and they also make matching headbands and adult size beanies so the whole family can match.baby-gear-1

Little Teether teething necklace: They make cute necklaces for mom that double as a safe, non-toxic teether or sensory play for the baby. The necklaces come on lots of different colors and patterns and Little Teether also sells cute teething toys (the cactus one is a must for desert babes!).

Shop Plain Jane 24 hour dress: This is my very favorite t-shirt dress. I have slept in it, dressed it up for a night out and wore it chasing my kids around. It is so soft, lightweight and incredibly comfortable. The dress is the perfect length for moms hitting just above the knees – and if you are a nursing momma, the elastic neck stretches down for easy access.

Milkmaid Goods nursing poncho: These nursing ponchos are wonderful because they cover you in the front and the back and come is some beautiful prints. They are made of stretchy, jersey material and it doubles as a car seat cover.

MayBee Blankets binkie blankie: These are mini blankets with a loop to attach babies binkie to, it’s a lot harder to misplace the binkie this way, and babies get older it will help them find it on their own and double as a lovey. They have some adorable prints and the fabric is SO SOFT. baby-gear

KB Cute knotted gowns: Nobody is interested in unsnapping a hundred snaps at 3 in the morning on a squiggly baby. These gowns have a simple knot at the bottom to make this middle of the night task so much easier and keep baby warm. Plus they are adorable.

What are some of your favorite local businesses for new moms and babies?
