Shop Local: Favorite Spots for Moms

phoenix local shopsI love discovering “small shops” in Phoenix and Scottsdale. We have an awesome local and handmade community with lots of places to score unique finds. I recently took a day–for important blog research, of course–to hit up a few of my favs in search of some great gifts. Check out these gift ideas from some of my favorite local shops and be sure to support them and others this Saturday on “Small Business Saturday.”

Frances is pretty much the dean of the small shop delegation. They’ve been around for 10 years and have unique items from clothes, jewelry, handbags, home goods, and baby gifts. Stop in and you’re guaranteed to come away with a one-of-a-kind gift for anyone on your list. Also check out their Crafeteria coming up December 2nd.

Urbana in Arcadia is an awesome addition to the neighborhood. This adorable shop has great gifts for home entertaining and other fun finds. I picked up this super soft AZ tank and 100 percent of the proceeds went to Homeward Bound. Seriously, 100%!

Found is my absolute favorite home store in the Valley. It is well worth the trip to Chandler to see the beauty of their home furnishings and accessories. You can splurge big on gorgeous furniture or you can pick up some smaller decor items and unique gifts. I couldn’t resist this necklace and had to restrain myself from taking home several other goodies.

You need a necklace from FOUND in your life!

Audrey’s is a fun little vintage shop I recently discovered. These Mama’s Cold Brew candles were calling my name and would make a great gift for the coffee-loving mom in your life.

Mama’s Cold Brew candles at Audrey’s smell just like the real thing!

Modern Milk gets a lot of attention in Scottsdale/Phoenix mommy-world. I recently made my first visit and scored this sweatshirt and another gift for a family member.

Two of my favorite local makers to follow on Instagram are @SonoraHandmade for gorgeous custom weavings (we have one hanging in my daughter’s nursery) and @PinkPuddleStudio for stunning watercolors. Does anyone else find IG a rabbit hole for discovering local artists?

I know one-click shopping is easier for us moms, but don’t miss out what our local community has to offer. Happy shopping!
