The Simple Farm – Local Farm Shop Reopens to the Public

A few years ago, The Simple Farm was a standard Thursday morning activity for me.

Have you been? Lylah and Michael are quite possibly the dearest people in Scottsdale. They are kind and giving. Their 3 acre farm’s popularity took off like a rocket! Pretty soon, Thursday morning was the place to meet other moms for coffee.

About a year ago, they scaled back having visitors so that they could reevaluate what was best for their farm. Having visitors can be tricky. It is a working farm, with chickens, goats, and produce. They wanted a balance between allowing people to visit and protecting their workplace.

Somewhere between the hard decisions of inviting people into their farm and building a wall to protect their livelihood, they began a Farm Member program. It is much like Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) or a way for consumers to buy local, seasonal produce directly from a farmer in their community.Kate Eschbach Photography-9108

About this time their caramel business also took off! I can honestly remember the very first time I tasted their caramels. I even wrote a post about it, because I’m pretty sure the angels sang.

Well, I have the best news ~ they recently reopened their Farm Shop to the public on Thursdays from 9 – 11:30 am and 3:30 until 5 pm! They have turned it into the most peaceful French Market full of their award winning sea salt caramels, flower bouquets, herb bundles, hand crafted gifts, curated gift boxes and a gallery of fine prints from The Paris Collection by Pamela Jane Photography. It’s perfect for a quick little 10 minute stop to support local and enjoy this amazing Scottsdale treasure!

No, you can no longer visit the chickens or the goats, but they do have adorable videos on their blog that you can show to your little ones.

I love following them on Instagram, too! Lylah often posts videos of their darling goats, and the kids just love watching them jump and leap and sing. (On Instagram, their handle is @thesimplefarm ). Their instagram account is also the perfect place to keep up with the news of the baby goats being born each spring.

Congratulations, The Simple Farm, on your relaunch of The Farm Shop! We are thrilled to be able to swing by again!

Side Note: This is not a sponsored post, we just wanted to share our love for The Simple Farm and let everyone know they are back!
