Break a sweat this season and enjoy your favorite workouts outdoors! With the summer heat just around the corner, now is the time to celebrate the season and participate in some many of the outdoor fitness events offered around town. Whether you’re a runner, yogi, or barre babe, this list will motivate you to break a sweat under the valley sun!

The List:

1) Wanderlust 108Happening May 1st, you can participate in a 5k run followed by a 75 minute yoga flow powered by a the sounds of a DJ, then closed with a 30 minute guided meditation. Additional workouts will be available with registration. Food will be available. Adults, families, and groups encouraged to participate. Registration is required. 

2) Joya Spa, Omni Montelucia Resort – With a variety of workouts available from hiking to TRX, Joya Spa offers some of the best ways to tone up and tune out. Join Goddess Yoga every Thursday for an outdoor happy-hour flow. Or join StudioMixx at Joya Spa for the lastest barre-pilates combo classes. Check out StudioMIXX at Omni Montelucia on Class Pass for the latest group fitness promotions.

3) Barre3 in the Park, at Scottsdale Quarter – Mark your calendars for March 26th! This is the second year barre3 is closing their doors for the day and taking their workout outdoors. The event is free and early arrival is recommended. Bring your own mat and a friend! You won’t want your bestie to miss this one!

4) Lululemon – Every month the workout apparel store highlights a local yoga studio. Join them on Sunday mornings for a free class on the courtyard at Scottsdale Quarter. This month enjoy classes offered by Yoga Fit Scottsdale.

  2. I always like to spend my mostly summer vacations in fitness camps with my children. That’s fantastic way to learn something and enjoy the vacations. My children enjoy these camps also.
