Sunday Meal Planning Series {eating Paleo with kids}

0

My husband and I have been eating healthier. Cutting out the carbs. And trying to eat as clean as possible. Basically we have been eating a modified Paleo diet.

It has been great, but….we have three children. And I have to feed them 3+ times a day. So the only struggle has been eating low carb and clean but still creating meals that the kids will eat as well.

Here are three recipes that work for both my husband and I PLUS the children!

1) Paleo Mini Meatloaf — I love this recipe! It is easier than it sounds….and the leftovers are PERFECT for a clean lunch the next day.

2) Thai Chicken Sate with Peanut Sauce — Kid’s love eating things off of skewers! Just make sure you use sugar free peanut butter.

3) Paleo Steak Lettuce Wraps —  Hold the sriracha until after the kids portions have been served, unless you have a little one who likes it SPICY! Also sometimes my kids like eating this on lettuce but sometimes they prefer a tortilla and a little cheese added.

A few tips I have learned–

1) Any protein can be served on a salad for the adults, but deconstructed for the kids’ meals.

2) Cauliflower works great mashed, riced, roasted, etc. Almost passes as a potato….

3) There are a ton of places online to find more recipes. Use Pinterest or Google and with a little research you can meal plan a healthier lifestyle for your family.
