The Arizona Biltmore Staycation with Kids {And the scoop on how to win a free night!}

1

A grateful Thank You to The Arizona Biltmore Hotel  for providing my family and me, a one night stay and dinner at Frank and Alberts for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

stayLiving in Arizona means that some of the most beautiful resorts and spas in the U.S are right in our own backyard.

People from all over the country fly HERE to enjoy them. So, as Arizona residents, shouldn’t we get a chance to enjoy them too?

I decided —  WE. SHOULD.

So I was thrilled when the Arizona Biltmore contacted SMB and graciously offered to host my family for one night to check out the newly renovated Paradise Wing and new Ocatilla Wing. The historic 1929 hotel is an Arizona landmark with a long list of past presidents and Hollywood stars gracing its halls. We couldn’t wait to join that distinguished list!

Our Paradise room was brand new – in fact we were its first guests! It is a sleek beautifully modern room with the loveliest fluffy white bedding.P1140124P1140132

The best part is location!We have a walkout courtyard (don’t worry – many latches and gates to stop a curious toddler) with a gate that leads straight to the main 3 pools area with a 92 ft long waterslide (yes, I said 92ft, NOT a typo).

P1140140The waterslide is the best activity EVER for kids. First the waterslide is open on top (not a closed-in one) so you can watch your kids go all the way down. Also, the end of the slide is a nice smooth even end, so no scary dismounts. My kids went on this thing time and time again, with no wait and no lines. We even joined in — it was a blast!

Other on-site kids amenities include a giant chess piece game (my older daughter is check mating her sister here:)

Kids Care room, weekly High Teas, s’mores on the lawn and kids cooking classes are also available. Check with the hotel on specific days and times.

P1140183Dinner at Frank and Alberts was delicious and they had a great kids menu for our girls.  My favorites were the Crisply Calamari with crushed red chilies and the Jalepeno cheese bread with pecan butter goat cheese – Yum!

This summer, Biltmore is promoting affordable luxury with summer stays starting as low as $109 per night!!

Here’s the math. For our family of 4, at a cost of $26 per person, we could treat ourselves to 5 star luxury accommodations for one night (2 days!), enjoy 8 pools and a 92 ft waterslide, and avoid the lines and crowds at waterparks. (not to mention save the expense of airfare, checked bag fees and sightseeing expense in a typical vacation).

Plus it’s off-season. We stayed at the Biltmore this past Wednesday and my kids had the 3 main pools to themselves for most of the afternoon. They were singing the Lego movie’s EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! at the top of their lungs (as it really was) and no one was there to mind.P1140135
