Broken or Scratched DVDs? Send Them to the Disney DVD Replacement Program

3

My kids love to do things “all by themselves” and this includes putting their DVD movies in and out of the player. Thus it is no surprise to anyone that we have quite a few movies with scratches, some are broken, and one no longer works because milk was spilled on it. Poor Finding Nemo!

Recently, I heard about the Disney DVD Replacement Program. Disney will replace any scratched, broken or otherwise damaged Disney DVD. This includes all of their DVDs, even if they are not currently available for sale in stores. How great is that?!

Here are the details if you are interested:

+          Send in your broken Disney DVD to:

WDSD Consumer Relations
Attn: Disc Replacement Program
P.O. Box 3100
Neenah, WI 54957

+          Do not include the DVD case. This will save you on shipping costs and they only need the DVD itself.

+          Include a check for $6.95 per DVD disc you want replaced (or $8.95 for each Blue-ray disc). This is much cheaper than buying a new DVD.  [Since most of our favorites are “in the Disney vault,” we really don’t have any other option.]

+          Also fill out and include the replacement form.

I did try out the program with a much-used Cinderella disc that no longer played properly. A few short weeks later, the new DVD arrived and my kids couldn’t be happier. I will definitely be using this program for our other “well used” Disney DVDs in our collection.

    • I do not believe that I did receive any notification. But they did call me because one of the disks was a pirated copy. :O But they did replace the legit Disney DVDs.
