Baby Diaries | 6 MONTHS: DIY Monthly Development Onesie Project!

3

I can hardly believe it’s been 1/2 year since Easton was born. The months are just flying by, and I feel blessed to be on this journey of motherhood. One of my favorite things over the last 6 months has been taking pictures of Easton on the 3rd of every month in his DIY Monthly Onesies. Since nothing in the picture changes except for the baby, I feel like it’s easy to focus on how he is changing. I thought it would be fun to show you the 12 month onesie project at the half-way point.

So fun, isn’t it?! I can’t wait to have all twelve pictures together.

.

Steph generously made me a set of these before Easton was born. Since then I’ve given 2 more sets as shower gifts and they’ve been a hit! These are the components I’ve used when I give them as a gift:

1. Onesies: Months 1-2 (Size 0-3m), months 3-5 (Size 3-6m), months 6-8 (Size 6-9m), months 9-12 (Size 9-12m)

  • Prewash and iron the onesies
  • Print out the iron ons (Girl’s colors OR boy’s colors) and cut out close to design. Avery brand works the best!
  • Iron on

2. 1 yard of denim fabric: I add this as a consistent backdrop to use. The craft store always has something like this on sale.

3. A box: I’ve used a hat box (Hobby Lobby) and a square organizing bin (Target).

.

So…if  you want to give someone the coolest shower gift (that wasn’t on their registry) then give this a try!

Now here’s the little dude with his 6m stats:

  1. I have anticipated each monthly picture and didn’t even realize you made these! Surprised? Not for you my wonderful daughter.

Love you Brits, Brandon; the most amazing son-in-law ever and of course the blessing bundle; Easton
