Belly Diaries (Part II) | 16 weeks | My Pregnancy Unplugged

10

We’ve heard such awesome feedback from so many moms about our first Belly Diaries Mama, Brittany, that we thought why not have  a Part II (and Part III and who knows, maybe even Part IV eventually)?!! There’s just something so fun about being able to follow along with a going-to-be-first-time-mom as she goes through her very first pregancy.  Personally I just LOVE it!

So please help us welcome our next Belly Diaries guest blogger, Michelle!  Michelle is just finishing up her 15th week of pregnancy #1 and we couldn’t be more excited to walk this motherhood journey with such a wonderful woman!

But there’s the catch (don’t worry – it’s fun)… rather than writing out her thoughts in a post, Michelle will be vlogging (video blogging for those non-techie mom’s out there).

Without further ado, here’s Michelle…

Burping, Back-acne and peeing at night – I LOVE IT!!!  Thanks Michelle for your pregnancy thoughts (unplugged).

For those wondering about Brittany – don’t worry – Brittany is still around!  She’s posting her Baby Diaries posts about the ups and downs of her first year of motherhood!

Michelle has lived in the valley since 1994, except for a five year stint in Iowa. She has been married to her husband, Michael for six years; and they are expecting their first child in September. Michelle works for the American Cancer Society planning fundraising events. She loves cooking, meal planning, working out, staycations and reality TV. She much prefers a facial over a massage, enjoys raising their giant chocolate lab, Maximus and is considering starting her own blog one day.

  1. I think it is very exciting that you are vlogging about your pregnancy. We must be due pretty close to each other I am currently preggo with my second and am due 9/4/11. Just started my 17th week. I remember my first pregnancy with all the “fun” things no one told me about. Just wait till you get to hemeroids and the lovely night sweats. Oh the joys of pregnancy, can’t wait to hear more of the truth of being pregnant since no one ever really tells the pregnancy truths. This is so refreshing!!!

    P.S I have backne too… its bad.

    • Hi Elyce,

Night sweats… oh no! That is one I haven’t heard yet. I can’t wait 🙂 I am due Sept. 15th. Congrats on your second pregnancy!

  2. LOVE this post! And the candid-ness! So thankful for you Michelle!

BTW – tell your hubby that flushing at night is overrated!

  3. I love this Michelle! Your honesty is hysterical and so true! Check out the book Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy – it is a funny book about all the things no one really talks about with pregnancy. Totally recommend it. Can’t wait to hear more 🙂

  4. LOVE this! As a first time expectant mom I totally know how you feel! Burping has been horrible for me too and running to the bathroom at all hours of the night so you’re in good company! Unfortunately the peeing only gets worse as you get bigger (I’m 26 weeks along)! Jenny McCarthy wrote a book called Belly Laughs that talks about all the stuff people never tell you about pregnancy! It’s pretty hilarious and a quick read! Can’t wait for more vlog Belly Diary posts! 🙂

    • Hi Jenny, Congrats! I am glad I am not alone in the burping deptartment (as I typed that sentence I think I had to burp at least 3 times!) I will need to read Jenny McCarthy’s book. Thanks!

  5. Michelle- loved your video! I am for sure on your side with the toilet flushing argument. It can wait until the morning!

  6. Oh my goodness- too cute. Isn’t it hilarious the things that people never tell you, until you are pregnant yourself?! It’s embarrassing and humbling all at the same time 🙂
And Michelle- you are adorable! Let me know if you are interested in maternity pics! :))
