Quick Beauty Tips

You are busy, I know!  I am too.  There are mouths to feed, messes to clean and work to attend to.  Who has time to put on makeup?  Everyone!  If you have 5 minutes, you have no excuse.  Everyone deserves to look alive!

Here are some ways to cut time on your daily makeup routine.

Eyebrows. Groomed eyebrows can make all the difference in your look!  Having shaped brows is a great way to look polished and put together without having to spend any extra time in the morning.   Plus, having the right shape eyebrows for your facial structure can open up your whole face giving your eyes a nice frame to work with- something that is worth achieving whether you are short on time or not!

If you’ve never had your brows professionally shaped consider doing so!  Visit my friend Olunife at her new studio in Scottsdale, BeautyGold by Olunife for FREE brow waxing from October 1st through October 8th.   Book by calling 602-740-7434, just mention Scottsdale Moms Blog!

Get a two-fer:

Lip and cheek. If you want to cut down your time in the morning, cut your products down.  Consider using a lip/cheek stain or a creme based cheek color that can double as a quick lip color as well.  Some products are made specifically for lip/cheek use, and some I just use that way regardless of suggested usage (but do read the label, just in case!)

Eyes and cheeks. Something like Bobbi Browns shimmer brick is a great way to use a product in more than one way.  You can use it for a wash of color and highlight on your cheeks and also use it as an eye shadow.  There are light enough colors to even do a highlight right under your (newly shaped) brows!

Custom Palettes. A lot of time can be wasted in the morning searching for the products you want in the maze of makeup.  An easy way to cut down your search time is to use an eye shadow (or lipstick or blush) palette.  It can also save you from buying colors you don’t really want in a pre-made palette.  Buy only the colors you’ll use and put them all in one compact place.  MAC makes palettes that hold from 4 to 15 eye shadows and Bobbi Brown’s palette can hold 3 to 6.  You could even create an every day palette and a special occasion palette.

One minute face. If all else fails, conceal dark spots and under eye circles, throw on some mascara and a little lip gloss and you can walk out the door with your head held high!
