About Us

Scottsdale Moms (formerly Scottsdale Moms Blog) is a community – online and off – of women raising kids in the Phoenix-Metro area.

We are a collaborative blog written by and for local moms with daily posts on things to do around town, ways to get involved in the community, parenting solutions, personal essays from local moms, local business spotlights, giveaways, and more.

“The West’s Most Western Town” has grown into a city of nearly 250,000 people, making it easy to get lost in the crowd. We hope you learn more about our community and get out there and experience it firsthand (and tell us about it too!).

We know that it’s difficult to get out and meet other moms when naps and eating and potty-training are calling for your attention – especially if you’re new in town, new to motherhood, or both. This is our little attempt to make the world feel smaller and to encourage you that you aren’t alone.

Topics

  • Date Night ideas

We have an active Facebook community; ‘Like’ us to join the conversation! And we’re on InstagramTwitter, and Pinterest too.

History of Scottsdale Moms Blog

Scottsdale Moms Blog was founded in 2010 by friends Steph Flies and Joy Cherrick.

They had a vision to create a local community to bring moms together from different backgrounds, but all going through the same experiences. Amazingly over 4 years and many children, they grew the blog into a thriving community and resource for mothers looking to connect throughout the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. The business has since changed ownership to Angela Barako & Kate Eschbach who build upon the vision that Steph and Joy started and are continuously working to bring you the best Phoenix has to offer.
