Favorite Happy Hour Places {with kids!}

As a family, one of our favorite activities to do together is head out to dinner. No shopping, prepping and cooking for me! Win! And if we can find a restaurant that has a great happy hour deal, all the better. This means that my kids will try new foods that they might not normally try and I am not worried if they hate it cause we didn’t pay a fortune for it.

Here is my list, but I really would love your help to expand this list and give me some new places to try, so comment below with your favorite spot!

  • The Grand Stand Burgers and Tacos {Shea Blvd} This joint is in a popular shopping center on Shea Blvd, but it is a great find. Happy hour deals include $2.50 sliders and $2.50 fries. Plus great drink specials!
  • Kona Grill {Scottsdale Quarter} I love the new location. I love the super large bar and patio area. Their extensive happy hour means we can get sushi rolls, fish tacos, and my kids favorite, smoked gouda fondue with pretzel bites. SMB Tip: Kona can get busy at happy hour time, so head over their early. Also they offer happy hour prices all day Sunday!
  • OHSO {Paradise Valley} This location is fantastic with kids and pets in tow. They have games like ping pong, corn hole, and more. The kids love playing the games and checking out all the dogs. SMB Tip: They have some nightly happy hour deals for drinks, but the best deal is Saturday and Sunday brunch which includes a beer or mimosa for the adults.
  • Zinburger {Scottsdale Quarter} Zinburger released a summer happy hour menu that includes $5 cheeseburgers & buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches, $3 milk shakes and more. The menu also includes half price beer and wine. SMB Tip: Zinburger calls this the summer happy hour menu, but we are hoping they keep it through the Fall, it still feels like Summer right?
  • Yard House {Desert Ridge} They offer daily happy hour that includes food and drink options. All the food items are perfect for families. They have tons of options from pizza, wings, sliders and nachos. Yum.
  • Salty Sow {Cactus} I love this restaurant. If you have not tried their crispy brussels sprouts, they are a must! They have several small plates for sharing. All of them are delicious. Plus happy hour lasts until 6:30pm! Plenty of time to get your dinner in.

Okay readers, comment below with your pick for favorite local happy hour (that bringing kids to won’t get you evil stares at). I can’t wait to try your go-to restaurants.

    These are great suggestions! Another favorite happy hour of our family’s is Tryst Cafe at Desert Ridge. I hear that Blanco Tacos & Tequila also has an awesome happy hour that’s great for kiddos – especially on Taco Tuesdays.

      Thanks for the recommendations Becca! I just recently discovered Tryst Cafe for breakfast. It was so good! I will have to try them for happy hour too.

    This is a total win-win. I think people often times think of happy hour as a total no-kids zone and that can really leave parents hanging. These are great recommendations.
