Senior Center Hosts Cool Ice Cream Social – Friday, July 7. This free event is from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, July 7, at the Via Linda Senior Center.

Winter in July – July 15, 7-11am at the Phoenix Zoo. The temperatures are heating up, but the forecast calls for a snow storm at the Phoenix Zoo. Chill out in tons of snow, splash around at the wet and wild play areas, and watch our loveable animals enjoy icy treats. Moms’ Night Out with SMB & Mane Attraction Salon – July 19, 6pm at Mane Attraction Salon. OK, so not exactly family friendly, but moms, be sure to add this fun event to your calendar. We will be spending the evening with Mane Attraction Salon to mingle with friends, sip some wine and get individual hair consultations. Plus, what would a MNO be without some fun prizes and swag bags?! Tickets are on sale now but availability is limited. So be sure to grab yours now before this event sells out! Brick Fest Live! Lego Fan Experience – Sat, Jul 22, 2017, 10:00 AM –Sun, Jul 23, 2017, 6:00 PM at Westworld of Scottsdale. This is not to be missed for any Legos enthusiast of any age. Come see mind-blowing creations from all over the world made entirely of the timeless toy….LEGO!  Life-sized LEGO models and cities come to life built with millions of LEGO bricks.  Build and race your own LEGO derby car down a 35-foot timed track, enjoy a LEGO mini golf course, shop new and vintage LEGO sets, and compete in the video game arena. Lemonade for Livy – Friday, July 283:00-6:00pm. Join us at Playtime Oasis for a family-friendly “Lemonade for Livy” fundraising event. Tickets are $12.50 per child and includes play from 3:00-6:00 pm, pizza, a cookie, and lemonade. Adults can purchase food for $5 per person. Toys & Playtime Oasis will be donating $2.50 per child and $1.50 per adult meal toward the fundraiser. There will also be some lemon-themed snacks available for a donation toward the Epilepsy Foundation.  

Summer Splash Tuesdays & Thursdays Character Meet & Greet – Through July 27 at Desert Ridge Marketplace (Tuesday mornings) & Tempe Marketplace (Thursday evenings). Join us for free weekly summer fun! Enjoy music, games, prizes and dancing. Plus, meet your favorite film characters and get a free downloadable photo with them each week. Every week will offer a distinctive family-fun experience with different themes, unique games and new characters.See the links for each location for specific details. 

Arizona Diamondbacks Games – Summer is for baseball. Take the family out to the ballgame this month and root for the home team! Check out the D-Back’s schedule here. The home game on July 21 will have post game fireworks.

Flashlight Tour Through Desert Botanical Garden – Recurring weekly on Thursdays & Saturdays through September 2 7 pm-9 pm. Whether it is date night or family-night out, come explore the Desert Botanical Garden in a whole new way. Flashlight Tours are sensory adventures to see, hear and feel how our desert nights shimmer. Guests beam their own flashlights along the self-paced trails to capture the night-blooming plants and animals that chirp, whirr and whisper in the desert after dark.
