This year, my daughter’s birthday falls on Easter. I started looking for something to make her day extra-special, but was soon overwhelmed by how many wonderful Easter events the Valley has to offer. I decided to round them all up so that you have an easy resource to go to – here are some of the best, whether you’re looking for an Easter egg hunt or a delectable brunch. Enjoy!

SCOTTSDALE

Build a Bunny Basket – FREE

Stop by your neighborhood Home Depot to participate in a hands-on workshop with your child. In addition to keeping their Bunny Basket, your child will also receive a workshop apron and commemorative pin. Limited supply available.

Easter Bunny and Brunch

Enjoy a special Easter brunch at the American Girl Store at Scottsdale Quarter. The Easter Bunny will be on site for photos. The cost is $25 per person. Ages 3 and up. Reservations required.

Egg Hunt – FREE

Hop over to La Casa’s free family Egg Hunt. The hunt begins at 10 am in the church sanctuary. They will also have bounce houses and a petting zoo!

Photos with the Easter Bunny

Afternoon Tea

Easter Brunch & Bunnyland

After a delicious brunch at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, hop over to Bunnyland, a springtime Easter playground filled with games, rides, and special hourly Easter Egg Hunts. The cost for brunch is $95 per adult and $40 per child ages 6-12. Brunch includes entry into Bunnyland as well as a complimentary family photo with the Easter Bunny. Reservations required.

Easter Eggstravaganza

April 16, 2017 – 9 am
Hop over to The Westin Kierland for their annual Easter Eggstravaganza, held exclusively for Resort, Villas, & Easter Brunch guests*. The event includes family games, arts & crafts, face painting, a Tiny Tots Hunt for children under 4, and a 25,000 egg hunt for all children. After the Easter festivities, enjoy a delicious Champagne Easter Brunch in the Trailblazer’s Ballroom. The brunch will also include live music and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. The cost for brunch is $85 per adult and $35 per child ages 5-12 and includes tickets to the Eggstravaganza. Brunch reservations required.

*A limited number of Eggstravaganza tickets will be sold to local residents, beginning April 1. The cost is $15 per person, children two and under are free. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Kierland Mining Company at 480-624-1268.

Easter Egg Hunt

Family Fun: Easter Sweets

Experience an afternoon of baking at Sur la table located at Kierland Commons. The menu includes Easter egg and bunny sugar cookies and Easter basket carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. The parade route begins along 48th Street between Warner & Elliot at 10 am. The Spring Carnival and Craft Fair will take place at the Ahwatukee Community Park after the parade until 4 pm.

BUCKEYE

After eating a delicious brunch at Rawhide Western Town, enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt divided by age groups. “Cowboy Cottontail” will be on site for photos and the Easter Bunny’s friends will stop by. They will also have a candy corral, water balloon toss, shopping, live action cowboy stunt shows, a shooting gallery, gold panning, train rides, and rock climbing. The cost is $21.95 per adult and $9.95 per child ages 4-12. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Reservations required.

Easter Egg-stravaganza

Enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt, bounce house, dying eggs, cookie decoration, a balloon artist, and face painting at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass. The cost is $10 per child. Registration must be completed by April 10.

CLARKDALE

Easter Bunny Express

April 16, 2017 – Train departs at 1 pm
Enjoy a once-a-year opportunity to ride the Easter Bunny Express at Verde Canyon Railroad! The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photos. They will also have face painting on the patio, lots of treats, a jellybean counting contest, and even adult Bloody Marys. Ticket prices vary. Reservations required.

FOUNTAIN HILLS

Eggstravaganza – FREE

April 8, 2017 – 8-10 am
Enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt with over 15,000 eggs at Golden Eagle Park. Hoppy Bunny will be available for hugs and photos throughout the event. The egg hunt is open for children up to seven years old. Arrive early. They will also have bounce houses. The Kiwanis group will be hosting a pancake breakfast and the Fountain Hills Fire Department will have trucks available for tours.

GLENDALE

Helicopter Egg Drop – FREE

April 8, 201710 am-Noon
If you haven’t been to a helicopter egg drop yet, it’s definitely worth checking out. Our two year old STILL talks about this from last Easter. Registration opens at Compel Church at 9 am. The egg hunt will be split by age group, 0-12 years. They will also have giveaways, inflatables, face painting, and helicopter tours. There will be free cotton candy, a family Easter basket giveaway, a coloring contest, and food for purchase.

Easter Story Time – FREE

Meet at Something Special Aviation Cafe for a free story time followed by an Easter Egg Hunt. Come early for playtime and stay after for a delicious lunch!

Easter Skate

April 16, 20173-7 pm
Roll over to Great Skate in Glendale for an Easter Sunday Skate Party. They will have Easter Egg Hunts for children ages 14 and under throughout the event. The Easter Bunny will be on site, too! The cost is $6 per person for admission and $3.50 or $4.50 for skate rentals

LITCHFIELD PARK

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Head out to the Front Lawn at The Wigwam to greet the Easter Bunny and friends as they arrive by helicopter. Enjoy music, games, dancing, and crafts.

Easter Egg Hunt

April 15 & 16, 2017 – 1:30 pm & 3:30 pm
Enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt at Wildlife World Zoo. The hunt will begin at 1:30 pm for children seven years and younger. A second hunt will take place at 3:30 pm for all children.

Easter Brunch Buffet at Wigwam Ballroom

MESA

Mesa Arizona Easter Pageant – FREE

Various Dates – Performance begins promptly at 8 pm

Enjoy an evening outside as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints puts on a production including approximately 475 people. The text is taken from the King James’ version of the Holy Bible and is written and presented for all faiths, cultures, religions, and ages. The performances will take place outside of the Mesa Temple. English performances will be held on April 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. A Spanish performance will be held on April 8. ASL performances will be held on April 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Easter Events – FREE

April 8-16, 2017 – Various times
Hop on over to Bass Pro Shop for Easter Bunny photos (April 8-16), fun crafts (April 8, 9, 14, 15, & 16), and more! The store will be hosting an egg hunt, for children ages 2-10, on April 15 at 2 pm. Registration begins at 1:30 pm.

Tiny Tots Egg Hunt – FREE

April 13, 2017 – 11 am-2 pm
Collect an egg at each participating business on Main Street in Downtown Mesa. The Egg Hunt is geared toward children under 8. The Easter Bunny will be around for photos.

Easter Egg-sperience at Vertuccio Farms

April 15, 20179 am-1 pm
Enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt with over 12,000 eggs. The Easter Bunny will be on site for photos. They will also have air pillows, a giant jump pad, a hay maze, giant tube slides, peddle carts, furry friends to pet, face painters, and train rides. The cost is $11 per child. Adults and infants are free. There will be a pancake breakfast available for $4, which includes two hotcakes and two slices of bacon. Arrive early to secure a spot – 500 children maximum.

PARADISE VALLEY

Kids Club – FREE

Join Persephone for a morning filled with music and dancing. Kids are invited to dress up in their Easter-best (or princess, prince, queen, or king costumes!). Songs are interactive and kids are often invited on stage to participate in puppet songs or play an instrument in the band! Sign up for Kids Club is free and includes a carousel ride from 11 am-1 pm on the day of the program.

PEORIA

Dolly Sanchez Memorial Easter Egg Hunt – FREE (some activities may require a small fee)

Enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt, divided by age, at Peoria Sports Complex. Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be on site for photos. They will also have a petting zoo, pony rides, crafts, face painting, inflatables, and carnival games. This event is free when you bring canned food.

PHOENIX

Peter Rabbit

March 29-April 16, 2017 – Performance times vary
Take in a performance by the Great Arizona Puppet Theater. Beatrix Potter’s story is told using puppets and contains only music. Recommended for preschool through third grade. The cost is $10 per adult and $7 per child over two. Call for reservations.

Some Bunny Loves You

Stop in to As You Wish Pottery at Desert Ridge to work with your child to turn their hand prints into an adorable bunny plate. They provide all of the materials and instruction. The cost is $20 per project.

Easter Cookie Workshop

April 2 & 9, 2017 – 10 am-1 pm
Experience an Easter Cookie Workshop at AZ Cake Shoppe. Participants will leave with 12 Easter themed cookies using run sugar and royal icing. Class size is limited to five students. The cost is $65 per person and includes all supplies. Reservations required.

Enjoy Shiloh Community Church’s annual family Easter Egg Hunt, divided by age, at Quail Run Elementary School. They will also have face painting, bounce houses, and food.

Head over to Enchanted Island for an Easter Egg Hunt, divided by age up to 10 years, including 40 grand prize eggs. The Easter Bunny will be on site for photos from 9am-3pm. Strollers are not permitted in Egg Hunt lines or the Hunt area. Arrive early to register.

Enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt at The Teapot, for children ages 2-8. There will be eggs hidden throughout the front garden, house, and back garden. Golden Eggs will be hidden with special prizes.

Enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt, divided by age, at Schnepf Farms. The Easter Bunny will be on site for photos. They will also have train rides, jumping pillows, a petting zoo, carousel rides, flying farmers, Easter cookie decorating, and a hot dog lunch. The cost is $25 per person with lunch or $20 per person without lunch. Ticket includes unlimited ride wristband. Registration is required and must be completed by April 10. Arrive early.

STANFIELD

Roxie’s Easter Egg Hunt

After attending the 1 pm performance of The Grumpiest Boy in the World on Easter Sunday, your family can participate in a special holiday activity. Kids will have the opportunity to create an Easter-themed sailboat and release it into the infinity pool outside the Tempe Center for the Arts building.
