The topics covered in these etiquette classes for children include: Self-introduction, handshaking, eye contact and smiling, saying “please, thank you,” apologizing, avoiding rude behavior, table skills, grooming and posture, and more.

Teen Etiquette Workshop for Ages 13-18 The topics covered for teens are: The importance of handshakes and eye contact, body language, the art of small talk, how to speak with the right tone with clarity, grooming and skin care, interviewing tips for college and job interviews, tipping guidelines, and more.

Children's Museum of Phoenix

There are tons of fun activities all month long at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix!

Risas Dental & Braces will kick off their sponsorship of Superhero Month by attending the Museum’s hugely popular and highly attended Target Free First Fridays. During First Fridays, the Museum is open free to the general public from 5pm to 9pm. In addition, Risas Dental & Braces will be onsite throughout the month to talk to visitors and do additional prize giveaways throughout the month.

The Museum’s Superhero Programs for the month include:
+ Fantastic Frisbee Shields: Turn an ordinary frisbee into a spectacular shield using duct tape, markers and other craft materials. Members $3/Non-Members $4.
+ Mighty Superhero Capes: Decorate your own superhero cape to help save the day! We’ll provide a durable cape, fabric markers and other decorative materials. Members $5/Non-Members $6.
+ Kapow! Cuffs: Make your own superhero cuffs by decorating some cardboard tubes using a variety of draft materials. Free with paid Museum admission.

Arizona Dance Artistry

Arizona Dance Artistry’s mission is to produce smart, adaptable and professional dancers in a dance education center unlike any other facility. Their 9th season of classes begins soon. Classes available for ages 2 years and up.

Fun for kids of all ages! If you have little ones, not yet in school, visit AZ Air Time to burn off that energy and stay cool. There is even a designated 6 and under area.

Music Together

Come make beautiful music with your child! Join Music Together’s Fall “FLUTE” semester for 12 weeks of singing, dancing, drumming and instrument play with your child while supporting them on their path towards basic music competence. Each 45 minute class is jam packed with developmentally appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a relaxed, yet fun, non-performance oriented setting while supporting their journey towards basic music competence.

This fall, Music Together in Phoenix is proud to share two new class offerings:  Rhythm Kids, djembe drums/movement/singing for ages 4 & 5 or Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and GENERATIONS Music Together, an intergenerational/mixed ages music & movement class with the “grand friends” at an area senior center! The shops at Scottsdale Towne Square will host a fun-filled Back-to-School Party on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families are invited to stroll around the plaza to find all the back-to-school fun!
