Have you been to Sweet Basil?

Just this past month my two nine year olds attended the cooking camp at Sweet Basil on Scottsdale Road. If you have not been there, you have to check it out!

You should see all of the great products that they have in the store. I want them all! I am a sucker for any and every kitchen gadget. I am sure that I need a new melon baller, a pizza stone and the wooden salad bowls. And every other gadget in the store!

Plus the camp for the children was amazing! They made such fabulous looking dishes every single day. I was super impressed that the chef taught them organization skills & how to read a recipe, in addition to how to cook. The kids even came home and made Italian Wedding Soup for the family one night. So cool!

Summer camp cooking classes are over for the year, but they offer other kids cooking classes available throughout the year.

They also have a calendar of cooking classes available for adults. How fun is that!

Also the store just opened a cafe with indoor/outdoor seating. The salads are delicious.

Stop by and see this great local food find for yourself!
