It seems that I have unofficially broken up with Facebook and I’m having a full-fledged affair with Instagram. I love Instagram. Really, I do.

Facebook’s been good to me, don’t get me wrong. I probably wouldn’t know what was going on in the world without it. (Since having my third daughter, I’ve found it challenging to stay informed about current affairs. Sad, but true.)
Facebook has helped me rekindle old friendships, share photos with extended family and last, but certainly not least, lose hours of my life reading blog posts and viewing satirical YouTube videos.
Buuuut… Lately, I’ve found Facebook to be sort of a downer.
When I joined Instagram shortly after it launched, I fell in love. No more political rants from friends. No one is inviting me to join his or her “group.” For the moment at least, Instagram seems to be simpler and less crowded. Plus, I get to see moments from those I follow rather than just read their thoughts because you have to post a photo.
While I love following personal friends, of course, my next favorite IGers are local moms with inspiring Instagram accounts.
So SMB friends, I bring you my 7 local moms to love on Instagram! #woot #woot
Kristen Forgione
First on the docket is SMB’s very own Kristen Forgione from The LifeStyled Company. Kristen styles everything from fairytale weddings to interior design projects. Kristen’s feed is filled with gorgeous before-and-after room makeovers to amazing details from the events she styles.
Alex Evjen
Alex is a fashion stylist, art director and Pinterest influencer creating pin-worthy content for brands and small businesses. Naturally, she has a beautiful Instagram account, too. Alex shares gorgeous imagery filled with tidbits from her life as a stylist.
Heather Kinkle
Heather, of Birdie Girl Photography, is an editor, photographer and mamma to three kiddos. Heather’s IG account lets you peek into her life as a wife, mom and family/editorial photographer. She has a talent for making even the most mundane motherhood moment look stylish and beautiful.
Salt and Pepper Moms
Tara and Devin from the popular blog Salt and Pepper Moms have (brace yourselves…) 9 children between the two of them. Their IG feed is a one-stop shop for the modern domestic; they share everything from stylish outfits of the day to recipes to DIY décor projects.
Shannon Woodruff
Shannon, of HustleMama Handmade, runs an online store selling handmade eco-friendly goods (think cute, reusable lunch bags/sandwich wraps and stylish mason jar tumblers). I love following Shannon because in addition to her own fabulous products, she spotlights other handmade goods I might not see otherwise. Plus, I must admit I’m partial to other mammas with three darling daughters.
Diana Red
Diana, of AZ Foodie, runs a blog devoted to all things food in Phoenix. Her IG feed is sure to make you hungry to try delicious food and treats from local restaurants. Pop on over to her account to check out real plates from local purveyors.
Destiny Alfonso
Destiny is the home enthusiast behind the popular blog Just Destiny. Follow Destiny on Instagram to get everything from decor ideas to recipe inspiration to beautiful entertaining details. She sprinkles in some inspiring quotes, too.
Thanks Heather, great list!
Thanks so much for including me in this list. I hope women always find my IG account honest, encouraging and inspiring.
