Archives Week! My Favorite Post of Steph’s

3

It’s Archives Week here at SMB, and this morning I’m featuring my favorite post of Steph’s. You can read all her posts here.

Now, I’ll be honest and admit that yes, I’m about to enter my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and the increased appetite has definetly hit! Also (as long as I’m being honest)  it’s been a while since I’ve been on an adults-only, no coloring book/children’s-menu dinner date with my husband. Given these facts, I guess I may be a tiny bit biased with my appreciation for Steph’s great post on the top 10 date night restaurants. However, I’m going to go ahead and share it with you anyway because after all, “Who doesn’t like a delicious kid-free meal out with their spouse?” Several of her picks are my absolute favorite restaurants. Others are places I’ve never tried, which makes me really appreciate the new recommendations! Enjoy & Bon Appetit! ~Kirsten

Top 10 Date Night Restaurants

In honor of how much I LOVE date nights I thought I’d highlight my very favorite restaurants in a Top 10 List fashion.

Cause everyone loves a Top 10 List, right?!

1. Elements. This is one of my most favorite “special occasion” restaurants in the Valley. The scenery is drop-dead gorgeous and the food is spectacular.

2. Sassi. There’s no need to spend a fortune on airline tickets to Italy when you have a perfect little Italian villa in Scottsdale – Sassi. With its first-rate Italian cuisine, Sassi’s southern Italian menu is to die for…not to mention the GORGEOUS scenery. Definitely a must try for all you momma’s!

3. Caffe Boa. I love everything about this place… from the brick walls (which are hard to come by in a new city like Phoenix), to the rosemary tied to your napkin, to the most delicious food…Caffe Boa certainly has my heart (and tummy).

4. The Herb Box {Old Town & DC Ranch} – This is one of the very few places that I’ll go back to time and time again because it’s just that good. Be sure to try the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese…to-die-for!!!

5. Los Sombreros. After visiting 20+ Valley area Mexican restaurants, we’ve found our favorite! Los Sombreros is the cutest little place and is big on charm. Specializing in regional Mexican food, Los Sombreros offers some of the best authentic Mexican food in the Phoenix area.

6. Delux Burger. My mouth just waters thinking about their out-of-this-world tasting Delux Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. Must go soon. K, honey?!

7. Pizzeria Bianco. If you’re craving pizza – this is your place! Known as one of the best pizzeria’s in the country (yes – I did say country!), Pizzeria Bianco has been rated number one in the US by Bon Appétit, the New York Times and Vogue.

8. The Vig. Quite possibly one of my new favorite eateries in my favorite neighborhood – Arcadia. From Halibut ceviche to Honey glazed salmon the menu is much more upscale than just a neighbourhood bar.

9. Sapporo Scottsdale. Sapporo has quickly become one of our go-to date night options if we’re looking for sushi. What’s not to love about their all night happy hour summer specials?!

10. Postino’s Wine Cafe  {Arcadia & Central}. I had to save the best for last. In my opinion. One or two glasses of wine combined with their delicious bruschetta with Prosciutto with Figs & Mascarpone or Brie and Apples with Fig Spread makes Postino’s one word – AMAZING!

  1. Love this post!! I’m a new mommy to a 4 month old baby girl, Camdyn. Thankfully, my parents live a few miles away and love their only grand baby, so my husband and I have plenty of opportunities to have date nights. We even went to Vegas for my birthday when she was 2 months old and are headed to Laughlin next weekend for Gary Allan’s concert!

Our most recent date was at The Cheesecake Factory. They have a great happy hour – tons of amazing food for $5 or less, and beers on tap for $2.50. I highly recommend having a date there!
