At SMB we want to bring you information and inspiration from around the Valley and beyond. Here are some clickworthy links from around the web this week. Enjoy!

I love the internet. Just when I find myself thinking, “I wish somebody would create a website about [random and highly specific topic du jour]”, I find out that – hooray! – somebody has. Like this one.

Like SMB contributor Noelle, I wish I was a gardener, but I’m not. This Parenthacks post on planting a vegetable garden with your kids is all about giving up on the idea of perfection and not taking the whole process too seriously (easier said than done for some of us who take perfectionism very seriously. Who me?).

Which years of their education can make the biggest difference for our kids and our society? Hint: it isn’t college. Watch this.

I’m fascinated by the nature/nurture debate around how kids play, and how media and marketing respond to and/or influence the toys our kids covet. If you happen to share my nerdiness 😉 check this out.

Amanda Blake Soule (aka SouleMama) makes me want to have five kids, move to a farmhouse in the woods and sew while the bread dough rises. I’ll settle for living vicariously from suburban Scottsdale.

The SMB Facebook page had a discussion about Easter events in Phoenix this week. Here’s a great list from AZCentral.com if you’re still looking!

How do you do your online reading? Random surfing? Facebook and TwitterRSS or email subscriptions? Be sure to add Scottsdale Moms Blog to your regular reading, however you do it!

Sarah Powers is a writer and Scottsdale mom of two. She came to the valley from Southern California by way of Chicago and would take Arizona summers over Midwest winters any day. A perfect day for Sarah starts with coffee, ends with chardonnay and includes lots of baby giggles and sticky-fingered kid kisses in between. She loves high ponytails, showtunes and using her kids as an excuse to stay in and go to bed early, which she would do anyway. Sarah tweets early and often about the messy, tender, fun, funny and irreverent moments of parenthood at www.twitter.com/powersofmine.
