The Belly Diaries – 16 weeks – Pregnancy Calendar Download

For all of you “experienced” moms out there, you may remember how you felt when you were waiting to meet your first.  Be it through pregnancy, marriage or through adoption, we all have a story for how we journeyed into motherhood.  Since we all get there our own way, we thought it would be fun to follow a local mamma through her journey to calling herself a “Scottsdale Mom”.

Meet Brittany.  She will be sharing her Belly Diaries, as her belly grows this year:

As a dedicated follower of Scottsdale Moms Blog, I am excited to share my pregnancy adventure with all of you. I welcome your ideas, advice and encouragement along the way! I know that you have a wealth of experience and wisdom to share.

I’m now almost 16 weeks pregnant with a baby boy, but at the very early stages it was hard for me to believe that I was finally pregnant (that is, until the nausea hit me!). It was also not quite sinking in for my husband, Brandon, who wanted to see the positive pregnancy tests as they got darker day by day (yes I took one each day for a bit). Did any of you experience this with your first child? It’s such a drastic yet almost completely intangible life change at first.

Within a couple of weeks Brandon asked me if I could find a pregnancy calendar for him to reference every day so that he could feel more involved and pray for our little one. So…I started Googling. I searched and searched, but I couldn’t find exactly what we were looking for, so I decided to create it. I collected interesting facts and milestones from several reputable pregnancy resources and organized everything into a day-by-day pregnancy calendar!

I must admit, I LOVE using my calendar!!!  Mine is taped together in a long strip on our refrigerator. Every day we take just a few seconds to check off the day, read about what’s going on with the baby, and say a quick prayer for the baby’s development. One of my favorite features of the calendar is the pregnancy percentage column, which was specifically helpful early on. When I though to myself, “Come on. Am I really pregnant?”, I could look and see that indeed I was 11.4% along! (I know. I’m a dork!)

So, let’s get to the good stuff! Here is the file to download your own copy of the calendar:

Your Pregnancy Day-By_Day

(For those of you who are somewhat Excel-savvy you can input your own dates and days of the week. Otherwise, just print it out and fill in the rest of the information by hand.)

Let me know what you think of the calendar, and feel free to ask me any questions you have about it.

Oh, one more thing before I go.

What fun would it be to follow my pregnancy journey if you didn’t get to experience the fun of watching my belly grow? Here’s my most recent shot:

I can’t wait to join your world of being Mom…
