Bloggy Boot Camp & Moms Night Out

2

It’s been quite the week for these SMB ladies! I just can’t get enough of how many awesome things there are to do in the Phoenix area. So – here’s another reminder mommies – get out of the house!! It’s too great of a city to be sitting inside all of the time. And although no one wants to admit it – the time is quickly approaching when we’ll HAVE to hang out inside all of time – ugh!

So – first things first. You may have seen on Facebook that Joy and I attended the Bloggy Boot Camp Phoenix 2010 this past Saturday. Just thinking about it makes me so excited about all of the incredible ladies we met and the things we learned. Here we are waiting for the event to start. (yes – I realize this is a horrible picture – it’s the only one I could find with both of us in it – we both forgot our camera’s so I’m using photos from the Bloggy Bootcamp Flickr Pool)

We headed out bright and early to the XONA Resort, where the event was held. We figured we’d divide and conquer so I signed up for the Mompreneur session and Joy signed up for the General Blogging track. At the Mompreneur track I heard from several fabulous women who spoke about business and social networking. The speakers were some of my favorite bloggers, Laurie from Tip Junkie, Lisa with Lisa Leonard Designs and Marlynn with The Power Mob . It was a very informative session and I love what the ladies had to share!

We met all sorts of great local mommies and business owners. One of my first Bloggy Boot Camp friends was Steph with Somewhat Simple.  You’ll be hearing more from her on SMB and she’s a LOCAL Blogger – YAH!!!

And here’s Dana with Simply Sweets in Scottsdale. She is a talented cake artist and also sells fabulous baking supplies! Anything with the word “sweet” in the title is dear to my heart.

Some of the other local bloggers we met include Kim with The TomKat Studio, Kelly at Everyday Childhood, Sara at Super Saving Sense, Shealynn with *Shey* B Camera Strap Covers, Nicole at The Fickle Nickle, Kendra at Good Life Diva and Rebecca at Quote the Walls. You’ll hopefully be hearing more from some of the ladies in the coming months on SMB.  🙂

And if Bloggy Boot Camp wasn’t enough  – Karis (if you haven’t checked out her first blog post on SMB – do so now!) and I attended Phoenix Moms Nite Out last night at The Capital Grille! Thanks again Kelly {Everyday Childhood} for the invite and for hosting this great party.  And a special thanks to all of the Sponsors that made last night happen.  What a treat to get out with some great ladies.
